Print Preservation Tasks for Execution

The process for printing Preservation Tasks for Execution is outlined below:

Navigation:  Completions > Preservation > Preservations by Assets



Asset Preservation Plans Manager.

Asset Preservation Plans Manager - Search Button.

Search for an asset that requires Preservation.


Deselect “Show Preservation Items” 'Yes' checkbox to expand the list of assets that currently do not have any preservation task assigned.


Filter Preservations (if desired)


Select the SEARCH button.



Print for Execution button.

Select the Print for Execution button located on the bottom ribbon of the Asset Preservation Plans Manager.



Print for Execution Window.

A Continuum Edge Preservation Execution window will open.



The user has the following options:


Time Period (for preservations to be executed):

  • past due
  • today
  • this week
  • next week



Form Type:

  • Mail Merge
  • Smart Form PDF with QR Code
  • Task Datasheet with QR Code



Select the Time Period and the Form Type for preservations to be executed.


Preservation Form Type - Mail Merge.

The user has the ability to print Preservation Tasks using various methods.


To print tasks using a Mail Merge form select the Time Period and then the Mail Merge boolean.


Select the Start Tasks & Print button.



The Mail Merged Preservation Form will open in a new tab or window (depending on browser settings).


The preservation task can now be executed in the field.


Preservation Form Type - Smart Form PDF with QR Code.

To print tasks using a Smart Form select the Time Period and then the Smart Form PDF with QR Code boolean.


Select the Start Tasks & Print button.



The Smart Form PDF Preservation Form will open in a new tab or window (depending on browser settings).


Note:  The content of the Smart Form is based on the steps created in the Preservation Task Model.  If no steps have been created in the Task Model this option for preservation ecexution should not be used.



The preservation task can now be executed in the field.


Preservation Form Type - Task Datasheet with QR Code.

To print tasks using a Task Datasheet select the Time Period and then the Task Datasheet with QR Code boolean.


Select the Start Tasks & Print button.



The Task Datasheet Preservation Form will open in a new tab or window (depending on browser settings).


Note:  The content of the Task Datasheet is based on the information provided in the Preservation Task Model (Task Data, including steps).  Only basic questions (Accept, Reject) show on the Datasheet.  For preservations with complex steps use the Mail Merge or Smart Form Preservation Forms.
